Our Process

We’ve developed a tried-and-true process for smooth, hassle-free installations.

A Simplified Process, Tailored for You

Step 1

Get to know your project

Before we begin, ask yourself the following questions:

  • What areas are you working on?
  • Are you considering a more traditional or modern style?
  • Are you collaborating with other service professionals like designers, cabinet makers, plumbers, etc.?
  • Will you reuse or remove existing cabinets, appliances, and sinks? If these items are removed, who is responsible for removing them?

To get started on your estimate, we will need:

  • Material selection
  • Edge selection
  • Sink, faucet, and tile selection, if applicable
  • Cabinet plan or rough counter sketch in inches, indicating sinks, appliances, walls, etc.

Step 2

Choose Your Stone

Choosing the right material is often the most challenging part. Bedrock Quartz offers a large in-stock selection at competitive prices, or you can pick from your preferred vendors or our list of local suppliers. Bringing paint, flooring, or cabinet samples helps speed up decisions—and your Bedrock Quartz Stone Consultant is always ready to guide you.
Choosing from a Sample
Note that color variation in stone is typical, so we cannot guarantee an exact match to samples.
Labor and Material Cost
Labor costs typically take up 60–80% of the project cost. Material costs, however, vary due to shipping, quarrying, rarity, and country of origin.
Purchasing a Slab
We price by the square foot (pay for what you use) or by the slab (you select the slab yourself).
Two Types of Slab Material
  • Natural: granite, quartzite, marble
  • Engineered: quartz
Types of Slab Material Finishes
  • Polished: Easy to clean
  • Honed: Matte, nonreflective
  • Leathered: Textured

Step 3

Choose Slab Thickness and Edge

Give your stone the personal touch it needs to meet your style.
Edge Profiles
Select from a variety of edges to define your space.

Corners
Choose from rounded or squared corners.
